Because it turned out this spider will chase cursors!
It would stalk my cursor across the screen, and whenever it got near the cursor, it'd do a really quick pounce forward, and an even bigger one back. Maybe that's what spiders do when they attack something? I don't know. But nevertheless, it was just too hilarious.
I wondered if I could scare the spider too, so I grabbed the pencil tool, and set it to draw 20 pixels wide (just something larger than the spider). I began drawing a big black line near the spider on my screen, thinking the size of the line would intimidate it. But my tactic failed completely, as the spider seemingly ignored the line, and hunted my pencil tool down without any hesitation at all! Waah!
I think I'm just too easily amused.
